Our kitchen and our school meals
All of our school meals are cooked freshly on the premises by our catering team and adhere to nutritional standards. Menus operate on a 3 week cycle and options each day include a hot meal, a vegetarian option, a choice of jacket potatoes, a choice of sandwiches and desserts. Children can also access our salad bar daily. Water, milk and fruit juice are always available.
All infant school children are entitled to a free school meal as part of the government’s ‘Infant Universal Free School Meal’ initiative.
Children eat their dinner in the school hall and can choose to sit where they would like. During the Autumn term some of our Year 2 children adopt the role of ‘Lunchtime Leaders’ and are on hand to assist our new Reception children with carrying their trays, fetching their drinks, etc.
Our school cook, Mrs Freeman, is always keen to discuss any allergies or special dietary requirements with parents. Please call in/telephone the school office if you would like to speak with Mrs Freeman.
