Skegness
Our Year 2 children
thoroughly enjoyed a day in Skegness to celebrate the end of their time at
The children visited the
Natureland Seal Sanctuary and watched the seals being fed. They visited the
reptile house, butterfly house and the aquarium as well as watching some
injured and baby seals in the seal hospital. They also saw penguins, meerkats,
tortoises and more!
After eating their picnic in
the park they enjoyed playing on the big adventure playground.
The children visited the fun
fair and had a great time on some of the rides including the big wheel,
caterpillar rollercoaster and the runaway train!
The highlight of the day for
many children was playing for nearly 2 hours on the beach – a great time was
had by all and the children did not want to leave the sand!
After walking along the
promenade, the children enjoyed fish and chips followed by ice-creams in the
Boatside Café. The day rounded off with more playing on the beach!
All of the children had a great day!
